Rain issue 1 is complete! It has problems with its presentation. The art is inconsistent, the lettering is very bad, often half-assed. The whole concept is unpublishable. It has basic writing problems. Also, I was more than halfway through it when I realized that, aside from Raika, I had LITERALLY depicted the female characters as virgins and whores. Ironic high-five!
As I read through it, the ideas I was trying to get across appear to be there and intact, if not always skillfully presented. And it’s done. Residue is next! …Once I figure out if I’m ready to commit to drawing on something larger than typing paper.

I had a hard time naming people then I realized there were some parameters of the world I hadn’t nailed down yet and then I was like fuck it and now sequence 3 is done.
STRAIGHT TO SEQUENCE 3 (Page 13)
START FROM THE BEGINNING (Page 1)
Naming characters is hard. Especially in fantasy. The name has to sound fantastic to give the reader a feel for the nature of the setting, but at the same time you have to believe that someone, even in this fantasy world, would name their kid this crazy word you come up with. I wish I could just name everyone Fried Taco.
The next sequence for Rain issue 1 is up. Which means I need to actually settle on a name for the character we meet in sequence 3.
About halfway through the next “scene” of issue one of Rain. I need another term for scene. And I need that arena trailer for John Carter to not remind me that I’m ripping off Burroughs.
The first series of the First Issue Project is Rain! Not to be confused with The Flood, which has been renamed to The Flood of Worlds. I guess I just like precipitation. By request, Residue will be next, followed by Klox. Check out the first 5 pages yon:

You’ve taken too long, and it’s time to commit to something that won’t paralyze you. You need to complete the first issue of every project that has built up over years of inactivity. You will call this grand endeavor…
THE FIRST ISSUE PROJECT
…and the first series will be… um…
well
fuck.

Fargaze was built to keep an eye on the King of the South and the mokrug clans the served it. Currently it serves as a quiet refuge for the afflicted of the southern towns, and is overseen by Fife and Zuesh. Though the parts of the structure that collapsed during the battle with the King are still largely unrepaired, Fargaze remains a fortress of formidable security.

The Mekalogues were built disregarding the First Law of Science, so they lack the reliability that Superfluous Complexity adds to contraptionisms. They are often found broken down in the back tunnels near the cities of Klox, having failed in the middle of some terrible directive that certainly would have ended in the gruesome dismemberment of many good gentlemen and ladies. It is considered impolite to speak of the madness that wrought these things, and one hopes it will only be a matter of decades before all record of that dark period is stricken from living memory.
